Perspective Tarot Spread for 2026

Shifts of the outer planets occur this year, with changes of signs moving from earth/water to fire/air, in close proximity — a rare occurrence. When we add the teachings of Hermeticism, “That which is above is like that which is below, and that which is below is like that which is above” — known as the Principle of Correspondence — it suggests a direct link between the microcosm (you / Earth) mirroring the macrocosm (universe / God). In other words, our inner thoughts and intentions manifest in external reality.

Another way to view this is that laws and events in one plane of existence are mirrored in another, and by understanding one, we gain insight into the other. So, when we take this into account, the planets shifting signs may reflect a shift in our collective frequency and consciousness.

I asked the cards for guidance around this shift, and this is my interpretation.

Significator — Four of Pentacles

In the image, we see a figure sitting on a concrete bench, holding tightly to four golden coins. The figure is away from the city where they once lived and were known. This unfamiliar territory brings a sense of insecurity and instability, creating a need for control over their environment.

This reflects the mindset we are bringing into 2026.

Foundation — Temperance

The world is evolving, and so are we. We can no longer hold on to egos and instinctual desires that once served us and provided a false sense of security and identity. We are being asked to shed old ways and dying parts of ourselves, and instead seek within.

Eliminate the need to be liked or controlled by other people’s opinions and beliefs. Have faith. Beat to the rhythm of your own drum:

Leave Behind — The Hermit

We are moving from private understanding to shared experience. We are asked to release the protective shell that once kept us safe but now keeps us small. We can be with others without losing ourselves.

Bridge — The Chariot

It’s time to start participating in 2026.

Move forward with focused intention and say yes to future opportunities. The bridge suggests that disciplined effort will lead to a positive breakthrough or resolution, linking the current situation to a victorious outcome.

Begin — The Tower

If we embrace the energy of the Charioteer, the Tower helps us release past attachments and align with a higher vibration. If we resist change, external forces will often make the transition even harder.
